this is a wonderful video that focuses on play and addresses leaning and language

Roberta Michnick Golinkoff is the H. Rodney Sharp Professor and Founder and Director of the UD Infant Language Project at the University of Delaware. She is also a member of the Department of Psychology and Linguistics. Her research is focused on understanding how children learn language. She is the recipient of the John Simon Guggenheim Fellowship and a James McKeen Cattell Sabbatical award.
